One of the most common, most costly and unpleasant septic system failures comes from a clogged, overflowing drain field.  Drain systems fail for a number of reasons, one of which is the flow of solids from the septic tank into the drain field.  Effluent filters are an inexpensive item to help prevent solids from leaving the tank.  Placed in the tank discharge pipe, a $25 filter can be easily installed and maintained to safeguard laundered polyester fabric strands, feminine products and other undigestable items from reaching and clogging the drain field.
